IATA auditors conducted a comprehensive five-day audit of Aeroflot’s operations. The audit revealed no deviations from international standards, highlighting Aeroflot’s distinction within the global aviation industry.

This marks the sixth consecutive year Aeroflot has successfully passed the IOSA certification. The airline was the first in Russia’s civil aviation sector to achieve IOSA certification in 2005. Subsequently, several other Russian carriers also obtained IOSA certification, drawing on Aeroflot’s experience.

IOSA standards are regularly updated to address the latest challenges and demands in the aviation industry. The currently effective version is the eighth revision.

IOSA registration is valid for two years and can only be extended upon recertification. This certification is a prerequisite for membership in both IATA and the SkyTeam alliance. Additionally, it is required for airlines wishing to establish or renew code-share agreements with IATA and SkyTeam partners.

This recertification reaffirms that Aeroflot meets the stringent safety requirements set by IATA across all operational areas. Earlier this year, the airline also successfully passed IATA’s Ground Operations Safety Audit.
