Organized by Skytrax, the UK-based company renowned for its customer service ratings in the global aviation industry, this prestigious award is presented annually to the best airlines. The 2015 Skytrax World Airline Awards ceremony was held today at the Paris Air Show.
This marks the third consecutive year and the fourth time in Aeroflot’s history that it has been named the Best Airline in Eastern Europe. No other airline from Central or Eastern Europe has achieved this distinction.
Known as the "Oscars of the aviation industry," the Skytrax World Airline Awards have been presented annually since 1999 based on the world’s most comprehensive passenger satisfaction survey. The voting covers over 160 countries and involves up to 20 million participants. More than 240 airlines, including over ten from Russia, competed across various award categories.
