The Public Square Business District, located near National Taiwan University, is not only a well-known university town in Taiwan but also a hub of bustling crowds due to its prime location as a transportation hub, making it a paradise for food lovers. During the summer vacation, to welcome the large student population,Public Square Business Districtwill launch the "Sizzling Summer Public Square – Business District Goodie Tour" joint promotional campaign. From now until August 31, visitors to the Taipei Water Park's "2012 Taipei Water Festival" can present their tickets at participating shops in the Public Square Business District to enjoy discounts. These include 40% off sunglasses, 15% off Thai cuisine, and 10 NT dollars for trendy hair accessories, with a total of 68 various participating shops offering discounts.

Known as the "Southeast Asian Food Street," the Public Square Business District boasts numerous street snacks, restaurants, and trendy goods. This time, the participating merchants include 18 food restaurants, 13 food snack shops, 2 refreshing drink outlets, 31 lifestyle and service providers, and 4 arts and literary bookstores, offering discounts based on spending thresholds, free gifts, or 5–95% off on specific items with Water Festival tickets dated from July 1 to August 31.

Among the participating shops, "Longtan Tofu Pudding" and "Cui Xin Vietnamese Restaurant" both have over 30 years of history. Longtan Tofu Pudding sells only one type of tofu pudding, featuring slightly burnt tofu flavor and soft, fluffy peanuts, available either hot or cold. It attracts many students and office workers all year round. Cui Xin Vietnamese Restaurant is Taiwan’s first Vietnamese eatery, where the Vietnamese-Chinese owner insists on using traditional cooking methods to deliver authentic flavors. Their famous signature dish, "Beef Pho with Raw Beef," features a rich five-hour bone broth poured over thin slices of yellow beef, earning high praise.
