The Taipei Food Exhibition runs from today until the 15th at the Yuanshan Flower Expo Colorful Pavilion. With over 160 participating stalls, in addition to international light cuisine cooking shows and fruit carving championship displays, there are five cooking classes scheduled each day. On-site activities include “Exchange Invoices for Food,” “Early Bird Discounts,” and “Shopping for Prizes.” Exhibitors are also offering discounted prices as low as 1.8 times off, making it easy for everyone to enjoy delicious food even in the hot summer.

This Taipei Food Exhibition runs daily from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM until the 15th, and features an “Exchange Invoices for Food” campaign. Visitors can present invoices from May to July 2011 and receive free pineapple cakes, truffle chocolate cake, or large grass shrimp, among other foods and ingredients, at the stage area at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM daily. For the “Early Bird Discount,” the first 100 people in line each day starting at 10:30 AM will receive a gift of organic rice.
Additionally, by collecting stickers from purchases made at five major zones—“Themed Restaurants,” “Business District Cuisine,” “Delicious Snacks,” “Specialty Souvenirs,” and “City Specialty Foods”—visitors who collect three different stickers can join the “Shopping for Prizes” draw. Prizes include knife sets, health lingzhi mushroom packages, and meal vouchers from several Taipei restaurants. Moreover, many exhibitors are offering significant discounts, such as Love Fruit originally priced at NT$280 now available for just NT$49 (1.8 times off), Snow Frog Abalone Health Set originally NT$702 now NT$399, and popular egg tarts that usually don’t offer discounts are available at the exhibition for NT$250 for two boxes.
To coincide with the graduation job-seeking season, a recruitment area is also set up on-site, where food and beverage businesses are offering hundreds of job vacancies, including roles in planning, front desk, cashier, and banquet booking. Event webpage: www.facebook.com/taipeiyummy.
