Vitebsk is a city near the border between Belarus and Russia, the capital of the Vitebsk Region, and the fourth-largest city in Belarus. It is a city with a long history that blends harmoniously with a modern urban style, making it extremely charming.

The city is home to one of the oldest buildings in Belarus—the Annunciation Cathedral. This magnificent six-column structure is located on the left bank of the Western Dvina River and dates back to the Kievan Rus’ period, with construction beginning in the 12th century.
