Baranovichi

Baranovichi is a city in western Belarus, administered by the Brest Region. It is an important railway junction and home to Baranovichi State University. The city was first mentioned in 1706, founded in 1871, and gained city status in 1919.

The city has seen rapid industrial growth, with thriving sectors in cotton textiles, sewing, shoemaking, and machinery manufacturing. Food processing is also significant, along with reinforced concrete products and papermaking. The most well-known museum in the city is the Railway History Museum, which features over 400 exhibits on railway equipment, offering a rich variety including railway design and signal lights. In addition, visitors can explore the Holy Cross Church, the Baranovichi Regional Museum of Local Lore, the Holy Trinity Church, and the Kirovsky Church.
