Kaunas Town Hall
Attraction Introduction
During the Tsarist period, the Town Hall was converted into an Eastern Orthodox church and served as the Tsar’s residence in 1837. It was rebuilt in 1970 and now houses a ceramics museum and a wedding palace.
Features
The Kaunas Town Hall, built in 1542, stands 53 meters tall and is an example of late Baroque architecture, with elements of early classicism and Gothic styles. It and the Town Hall Square are the heart of Old Kaunas.
