Rumšiškės (Rumšiškės) is a small town in Lithuania, located 20 kilometers east of Kaunas on the northern shore of the Kaunas Reservoir. The Rumšiškės Open-Air Museum is a well-known local open-air ethnographic museum. It was established in 1966 and opened to the public in 1974, making it one of the largest open-air museums in Europe.

The Rumšiškės Open-Air Museum showcases the heritage of Lithuanian rural life through a collection of authentic traditional buildings, recreating the living and working environments of the Lithuanian people in earlier times. Spread across 175 hectares, the site features 140 traditional buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, all reconstructed, with interiors and surrounding environments restored to reflect their original settings. The museum was founded to preserve and study the former way of life of the Lithuanian people.

The farmsteads and surrounding environments at the Rumšiškės Open-Air Museum display the customs and cultures of the four major ethnographic regions of Lithuania: Aukštaitija, Samogitia, Dzūkija, and Suvalkija. These are among the most valuable and typical examples of Lithuanian rural architecture. The museum often hosts traditional local festivals, folk song and dance performances, which are very popular.
