Neries Regional Park

Situated in Lithuania, Neries Regional Park spans 10,000 hectares across the Vilnius, Trakai, and Elektrėnai districts, with parts of the park under private ownership. The park is divided into several areas, including 11 strictly protected nature reserves and one cultural area. It is the most forested of all regional parks in Lithuania and is home to the country’s largest and oldest surviving oak trees.

The main purpose of establishing Neries Regional Park is to protect the magnificent natural landscapes along both banks of the Neries River, the region’s unique flora and fauna, the distinctive ecosystems in the middle section of the Neries River, and the surrounding cultural heritage. Neries Regional Park is one of Lithuania’s most appealing tourist destinations, offering distinct seasons — lush greenery in summer, vibrant autumn colors, snowy winters, and a lively burst of birdsong and blossoms in spring.
