Campo Pequeno Bullring
The Campo Pequeno Bullring is located in Campo Pequeno Square in Lisbon, Portugal. Built between 1890 and 1892, the design was inspired by the bullring in Madrid, the capital of Spain, and it can accommodate 10,000 spectators.
The bullring is circular, with eight octagonal towers positioned at the arches and cardinal points, four in total. The west tower features two turrets that serve as entrances. The entire surface of the bullring is covered in orange bricks, and its main windows are distinctly horseshoe-shaped, adding to its unique character. The inner bullfighting arena has a diameter of 80 meters and is covered with thick layers of sand. After undergoing renovation, the bullring reopened in 2006. In addition to hosting thrilling bullfights, it has also become a venue for concerts by various bands. The ground floor of the Campo Pequeno Bullring also houses a shopping mall, restaurants, and parking facilities, catering to the shopping and dining needs of visitors.
