The W Hotel, known for its ultimate indulgence, trendiness, and creativity, has always been the exclamation mark travelers yearn for when staying abroad. In early 2018, a giant W overlooking the Brisbane River will also appear in the bustling downtown area, bringing a new interpretation of modern luxury to the city.

The W Hotel is an internationally renowned hotel brand, part of the world's largest hotel group—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., one of the largest hotel groups globally. Headquartered in New York, USA, the group includes nine major brands such as W Hotel, Sheraton, Westin, and Le Méridien, each with distinct philosophies and appeals. The W Hotel consistently integrates elements like fashion, music, innovative design, art, and pop culture, while incorporating local characteristics to become a hub of urban entertainment. Since the opening of its first property in 1998, the W Hotel has evolved into a globally significant landmark, with over 44 hotels across major cities and exotic travel destinations worldwide.

Brisbane's W Hotel is part of a comprehensive development project jointly undertaken by Shayher Leisure Holdings Pty Ltd and Taiwan's Pao Chia Construction. The signing of this hotel construction plan with Starwood carries the passion and energy of bringing the W Hotel back to Australia, aiming to showcase cutting-edge design, avant-garde fashion, and music to a new generation of travelers. The development includes three separate towers, with the W Hotel occupying one, while the other two will serve as high-end office and commercial spaces, as well as premium residences.

For Starwood, the Brisbane W Hotel is a significant milestone. Andrew Taylor, Director of Acquisitions and Development for the Pacific region at Starwood Group, stated: "We have been searching for the right location and partners to bring the W Hotel back to Australia; and as an emerging, vibrant, international city, Brisbane provides the perfect opportunity for the W Hotel to re-enter this market."

In the future, the W Hotel will offer 305 stylish rooms, including 25 suites and an "Extreme Wow Suite" that redefines the traditional presidential suite. The hotel's facilities will also be top-notch, featuring over 960 square meters of ultra-modern meeting and event spaces, a 24-hour business center with wired internet access, a spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, an indoor heated pool, and a W Hotel shop. Additionally, there will be an all-day dining restaurant, a poolside bar, and a uniquely styled W Lounge.
