The Vasco da Gama Tower is a lattice tower situated on the banks of the Tagus River in Lisbon. Opened in 1998, it reaches a height of 145 meters and is named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, who was the first to sail to India in 1498. Built for the 1998 World Exposition, the tower resembles a majestic sailing ship about to embark on a voyage when viewed from afar.

As the tallest building in Lisbon, the Vasco da Gama Tower features an observation deck at 120 meters above ground, with a luxury panoramic restaurant situated just below it. In 2006, Alain Robert, nicknamed "Spider-Man," successfully scaled the tower unaided and solo. Adjacent to the tower is the Vasco da Gama Royal Hotel, which began construction in 2007. The two structures complement each other harmoniously, forming a unified landmark that stands as one of Lisbon’s most iconic sights.
