The Lisbon City Museum presents the history of Lisbon during the prehistoric, Roman, Moorish, and medieval periods, showcasing a wide collection of items related to the city’s past. The museum houses oil paintings, watercolors, azulejos (Portuguese tiles), historical archives, maps, and more. Additionally, there is a large model of Lisbon depicting how the city looked before the 1755 earthquake — definitely worth seeing. In the center of the museum is a small courtyard where peacocks roam freely, adding a touch of charm to the visit.
