Harbor Bridge is located on the inner harbor of Copenhagen, spanning the Port of Copenhagen. Completed and put into use in 2006, it is the newest bridge in Copenhagen and is world-renowned for the love locks hung on it.

Harbor Bridge is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge, 190 meters long and 5.5 meters wide. It is a rotating bascule bridge that combines functionality, simplicity, and aesthetic appeal. It is not only the newest bridge built in Copenhagen but also one of its most iconic. The bridge features a minimalist design, with lighting used to highlight the beauty of its structure. When night falls, it shines like a ribbon of light floating on the water. The bridge’s most distinctive feature is its ability to rotate when large ships approach, allowing them to pass smoothly. Once the ship has safely gone through, the bridge returns to its original position — a highly advanced mechanism.

Harbor Bridge is considered one of Denmark’s most romantic tourist attractions, as its railings are adorned with love locks of various shapes and sizes. Couples come to the bridge, attach their chosen ornate love lock to the railing, and then throw the key into the water, hoping to secure their love forever and keep it sweet.
