Ulanhot Tao'er River National Wetland Park

Ulanhot Tao'er River National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

At the end of 2015, the implementation plan for the central government wetland conservation subsidy project of the Tao'er River National Wetland Park was approved by the Inner Mongolia Forestry Department. The project follows the principle of "protection first, moderate development," aiming to protect and restore the natural resources, landscape, and cultural resources within the wetland park and its surrounding areas. 3.5% of the park's area is used for eco-tourism, 86% for wetland ecological protection and restoration, and the remaining area for scientific research, education, and management services.

The short-term goal for park construction (2015–2017) is to establish the wetland park management organization, formulate regulations, and form a relatively complete protection and management system; carry out wetland ecosystem restoration; conduct scientific research, monitoring, and public education activities; and begin implementing basic infrastructure. The long-term goal (2018–2020) is to further improve the wetland park’s protection and management system, scientific research and monitoring system, and public education system; intensify wetland restoration efforts within the park; integrate resources under the guidance of the overall planning to develop tourism service facilities; comprehensively build and improve management and service facilities; promote eco-tourism and gradually develop tourism products with local characteristics to reflect the landscape value of the wetland park; and create a comprehensive national wetland park with an intact wetland ecosystem, rich landscapes, full functionality, and a prominent theme.
