Site of the Founding Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government

The Site of the Founding Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Site of the Founding Congress of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government covers a construction area of 679 square meters. Built in 1935, it originally served as the auditorium of the Military Officers Academy of Xing'an under the puppet Manchukuo. From April 23 to May 1, 1947, the Inner Mongolia People's Representative Conference was held here; on May 1, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government was established here. This is the birthplace of China’s first ethnic minority autonomous region — the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. On May 25, 2006, the State Council designated the site as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
