Former Site of the Government Offices of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government

The former site of the government offices of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government is a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the government offices of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government is located in the middle section of Xing’an Road. Built in 1939, this site served as the office building of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government from 1947 to 1949. The government chairman — and vice-chairman Ha Feng’a presided over and led the work of the Autonomous Government here, promulgating the “Organic Law” and the governing program of the Autonomous Government, calling on people of all ethnic groups across the region to unite and strive to build a new Inner Mongolia and welcome the founding of New China.

The “Memorial Site of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Government” is an important base for showcasing the revolutionary history of Inner Mongolia, promoting national unity, and strengthening patriotic education. It has hosted more than 20 Party and state leaders including Hu Jintao, —, Zhu Rongji, Li Peng, — Bang, Buhe, —, as well as over 100 provincial and ministerial-level leaders and a large number of domestic and international tourists.
