The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow is a classic site of red tourism.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow is located in Alexander Garden, just outside the red walls of the Kremlin on the northwest side of Red Square. It was built to commemorate the soldiers who lost their lives during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. The tomb is made of dark red marble, with a bronze sculpture featuring a helmet and military flag on the western side. In front of the tomb stands a bronze five-pointed star-shaped torch known as the "Eternal Flame." The fire emanating from the center of the star has burned continuously since the tomb's completion and has never been extinguished. It symbolizes the everlasting spirit of the fallen heroes, bringing light and hope to humanity.

To the right of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, along the walls of the Kremlin, there is a row of stone plaques. Beneath each plaque lies soil collected from various cities across Russia, and each stone is engraved with the name of the city and a stamped image of the Gold Star medal. The granite platform of the Tomb bears the inscription: “Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal.” On the platform lies a soldier’s helmet resting on a battle flag, alongside laurel branches, symbolizing that the sacrifices of these soldiers will forever live on in the hearts of the Russian people.
