Fountain of National Friendship

The Fountain of National Friendship was built in 1939 for an exhibition by the former Soviet Union. The fountain is magnificent and beautiful, featuring a huge golden ear of wheat standing tall in the center. Under the sunlight, it shines brilliantly and is truly eye-catching.

The water jets of the fountain soar dozens of meters into the air, with droplets dancing and splashing down in a spectacular display. Encircling the ear of wheat are 15 gilded bronze statues of women from various ethnic groups, each dressed differently, holding different kinds of fruits, and smiling — representing the friendship among the peoples of the 15 Soviet republics.
