Bulgakov Museum

The Bulgakov Museum, also known as the "Bulgakov House," is located in Moscow. Established in 2007, it was where Mikhail Bulgakov lived during his time in the city and is the only museum in Russia dedicated to him. This is also where he wrote his classic novel *The Master and Margarita*.

Between 1921 and 1924, Bulgakov and his first wife lived here and wrote his first novel before moving out. Today, visitors can explore various aspects of his life at this residence, including the kitchen, bedroom, and study. Exhibits include the desk and lamp he used for writing, a variety of kitchenware, postcards, and numerous illustrations created by different artists for Bulgakov’s works. Unfortunately, the Bulgakov Museum was severely vandalized in 2006, and most of its exhibits were destroyed — a truly regrettable loss.
