Atlantic Oceanarium

The Atlantic Oceanarium opened in 2003 and was designed by architect Félix Candela. Located in the eastern part of Valencia, it covers an area of 80,000 square meters, making it the largest oceanarium in Europe. By day, it resembles a white water lily, gently unfurling its petals as it rests on the water; at nightfall, the tranquil shoreline reflects a hazy silhouette, creating a dreamlike scene where the flower-like reflections on the water blend seamlessly into the peaceful ambiance.

The Atlantic Oceanarium is divided into 10 different zones and is home to over 500 species and 45,000 animals, including fish, mammals, birds, reptiles, and invertebrates. Sharks, penguins, dolphins, sea lions, walruses, and beluga whales are among the most commonly seen creatures. In addition, the Oceanarium features a dedicated dolphin pool where visitors can enjoy amazing dolphin shows.

The oceanarium takes you into a magical underwater world, where every animal is both friendly and fascinating. While observing marine life, you’ll also learn a lot about these incredible creatures.
