The Valencia Museum of Fine Arts was established in 1913 and is housed in a building dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries in Valencia. It is renowned for its extensive collection of artworks from the 14th to the 17th centuries and is one of the largest and most popular art museums in Valencia.

With a collection of approximately 2,000 pieces, the Valencia Museum of Fine Arts is the second-largest art museum in Valencia and also the second-largest Spanish museum for fine art treasures. The museum’s collection is not related to modern art but primarily features artistic masterpieces from the 14th to the 19th centuries. It mainly includes portraits from the 13th to 15th centuries and Baroque-style artworks from the Golden Age of the 17th century. In addition, there is a small selection of works from the Renaissance of the 18th century and the cultural movement of the 19th century. Most of these classic artworks in the museum come from the hands of renowned Spanish masters, with only a small portion by foreign artists. It is one of the museums in Valencia with the richest collection of works by Spanish artists.
