Mengniu Dairy (Taiyuan) Industrial Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Established in April 2006, the Mengniu Dairy (Taiyuan) Industrial Park is located in the Taiyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shanxi Province. The factory covers an area of 178.9 mu, with a green space of 58.68 mu and a green coverage rate of 32.8%. It has introduced production equipment from world-renowned companies such as Sweden’s Tetra Pak, Germany’s Krones, Germany’s GEA, and the UK’s APV. The entire production line is designed, installed, and automated according to GMP standards. Currently, nine production lines are in operation, producing mainly pure milk, flavored milk, and lactic acid beverages. The daily production capacity exceeds 500 tons, with an annual output reaching 140,000 tons. Visitors can clearly observe through the full viewing corridor how boxes of fragrant milk are “grown” from clean, interwoven automated equipment into finished products, and how production staff control the entire process—from the inspection of raw milk at the receiving square and its storage in silos, to pre-processing flash evaporation, filling, and automated packaging—via a centralized control system. Here, tall robots in the automated warehouse not only stack pallets automatically but also wave their arms to welcome you. The surrounding sights showcase the well-arranged blue factory buildings, presenting the whole process from the industrial park’s core power “heart,” to the raw material supply center, and on to the logistics distribution center that sends products all over the country. From the ancient origins of dairy farming to the development of modern China’s and the world’s dairy industry, milk has always been very important to our health. Known as “white blood,” it contains all the essential nutrients the human body needs, making it an ideal, nutritionally complete food. The Dairy Culture Exhibition Hall details the journey of dairy culture from its origins to its modern development. “The sky is vast, the wilderness boundless, the wind blows the grass low to reveal cattle and sheep.” The region’s unique natural conditions have provided continuous momentum for the growth and operations of Mengniu Dairy. In the Technology Exhibition Area, you can see research achievements from Mengniu’s high-end scientific centers, including its independent innovation technology center, dairy nutrition engineering center, and biological control research center, which unveil the entire process of the Sike Star—elite bull cloning technology.
