Zhengcun Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism attraction.

Zhengcun Martyrs' Cemetery is located at No. 25 Xifeng Street, Zhengcun Community, Huangling Subdistrict Office, Xiaodian District. On October 5, 1948, the First Corps of the North China Field Army launched the Battle of Xiaodian Town, marking the beginning of the Taiyuan Liberation Campaign. After the battle ended on October 15, the People's Liberation Army marched northward, inserting forces from the south and north to Mengjiajing on the western side of Dongshan Mountain in order to cut off the retreat of the enemy on Dongshan. After two days and nights of fighting, the mission to sever the enemy's escape route was accomplished, dismantling the well-established and fortified defensive system that had been developed by Yan Xishan’s forces over many years and stretched across tens of miles. In 1960, the Taiyuan Municipal People’s Government decided to establish Zhengcun Martyrs' Cemetery, relocating the remains of martyrs from 29 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions that were scattered in burial sites at Mengjiajing, Wanghuliang, and Beige, among others, to this location for interment and the erection of a memorial stele. The martyrs’ tombs are distributed in the northern part of the cemetery area, with 1,265 burial mounds built to house the remains of 1,531 martyrs, including 280 unidentified martyrs who were laid to rest in 14 large tombs at the back row. In 1988, the site was designated as a district-level cultural relics protection unit, recognized by the Taiyuan Municipal Government as a municipal-level key martyrs' memorial building protection unit and as a Taiyuan Patriotic Education Base.

Zhengcun Community: Zhengcun Community is under the jurisdiction of Huangling Subdistrict, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan City. It is bordered by the Dongshan Expressway to the east, Yaoshang Village to the north, the Electric Power Manufacturing Plant to the west, and Taiyu Road to the south. The community currently has 717 households and a total population of 2,054. After the village was restructured into a community in December 2007, active steps were taken to carry out urban village redevelopment, which was completed by the end of 2008.
