The Wiesbaden Museum has earned a global reputation for its impressive collection of works by Expressionist artists. It boasts over 100 masterpieces by the renowned Russian painter Alexej von Jawlensky, making it the world’s largest collection of Jawlensky’s works outside the Norton Simon Museum in the United States. Over the past 25 years, due to the museum's focus on quality and selective acquisition standards, it has gradually built up a world-class art collection.

In 2012, the west wing of the museum reopened after renovation, featuring artworks from the 12th to the 19th century, while in 2013, it began showcasing collections related to natural sciences. After the full renovation completed in 2013, the museum's exhibition space reached 7,000 square meters, accommodating a wide range of treasures from art to nature. Each year, the museum also hosts various thematic exhibitions.
