New Stay Option in Yilan: The Westin Yilan Resort Opens

Yilan’s first international five-star chain hotel, “The Westin Yilan Resort & Spa,” officially opened on September 23 in Yuanshan, Yilan after several months of trial operation, providing the public with a new accommodation choice when visiting Yilan. The property is invested in by Likh Group and Lili Hotel, and is managed by The Westin, a brand under Marriott International.

The Westin Yilan Resort offers 85 comfortable rooms, suites, and 6 standalone villas. Each room is equipped with the renowned Westin Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath amenities featuring white tea and aloe vera. Rooms include a 50-inch LED LCD TV, minibar, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and a capsule coffee machine.

The hotel is located in Yuanshan, where the “Yuanshan Hot Springs” are situated in the sedimentary rock area of the Lanyang Plain. The water is clear and transparent, with a temperature of approximately 38 to 42 degrees Celsius and a pH value of about 7.7. It is a sodium bicarbonate chloride spring. Guest rooms come with private hot tubs, providing an ultimate indulgent experience for travelers.

The hotel features a WESTIN-branded restaurant with large floor-to-ceiling windows that naturally brighten the space, offering all-day buffet dining and à la carte options. The themed restaurant is designed with materials such as solid teak and hinoki wood. A Japanese-style sake wall, which allows light to pass through, separates the space into 6-8 person Japanese-style private rooms and 8-10 person independent suites—perfect for small gatherings and business meals. Additionally, there is a lobby bar with soft background music for a more relaxing holiday experience.
