Lake Assad is the largest lake in Syria, with a surface area of 610 square kilometers and a water storage capacity of up to 11.7 cubic kilometers. It provides irrigation water for crops on both sides of the lake, playing a significant role in the agricultural development of Syria and supplying water for the development of local fisheries. In addition, Lake Assad also supplies drinking water to the city of Aleppo, and the shores of the lake have developed into important ecological zones.

Lake Assad is not just a lake, but also an important ecotourism destination. The lush green ecological zones on both shores are also worth visiting. At sunrise, it bathes in golden sunlight, opening its sleepy eyes under the sun to watch the people working along its banks.
