Templer Park

Templer Park is a forest reserve in the Klang Valley of Selangor, located 22 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur. Covering an area of 1,214 hectares, the park was established in honor of a British high-ranking official and is also named after him. It is one of the six major parks in Malaysia.

The park boasts lush, layered forests, cascading waterfalls, murmuring streams, and pools, making it a great place for spiritual refreshment. As visitors enter the park, they are greeted by troops of monkeys. The wide mountain trails lead to small hills within the jungle—Mentagong Hill and Little Mentagong Hill. Little Mentagong Hill features a cliff with a series of caves that add to the charm of the visit. The park is also home to many small creatures, numerous birds and insects, especially a variety of beautiful butterflies, which are particularly famous.

Templer Park is an excellent retreat from the heat and a popular tourist destination, attracting many visitors every year. It has also served as a filming location, with scenes from the Hollywood movie "The 7th Dawn" shot on location here.
