Any player with a USGA Handicap Index of 18 or below (24 or below for female players) may freely form a team to participate. The WAITGC tournament, which covers the entire Malaysia, consists of seven legs starting from March to September, one per month, held at selected featured courses in Selangor, Sabah, Johor, Sarawak, Malacca, and Kuala Lumpur. Participants can freely choose which qualifier to join, with the top five teams from each of the first six legs invited to compete in the final championship battle.
