The Sungei Dusun Rhino Sanctuary, located in Sungei Dusun, Selangor, spans 100 acres and began operations in 1991. It is Asia's first rhino sanctuary, established to protect endangered rhinos and raise awareness about rhino conservation.

Currently, visitors to the Sungei Dusun Rhino Sanctuary can observe Sumatran rhinos, hairy rhinos, and other critically endangered rhino species. Despite their massive size and seemingly bulky appearance, these rhinos are quite endearing. They are not only obedient but also playful and affectionate. They are not shy around strangers and will approach the fences when called by visitors, allowing people to touch their horns, heads, and tough skin. Wagging their tails and rolling in mud might be their favorite ways to greet and welcome guests. Rhinos love getting dirty and often roll and play in muddy pits—this is also their preferred method of bathing and cooling down.

To enhance visitors’ experience, the Sungei Dusun Rhino Sanctuary also offers accommodation facilities such as camping grounds. If a group of more than five people visits the sanctuary, the authorities may also guide them on a forest reserve exploration.
