Klang

Klang is a port city in Selangor, Malaysia, located about 32 kilometers west of the capital Kuala Lumpur and bordering the Strait of Malacca. Port Klang is Malaysia’s largest seaport, so the Klang area is also abundant in seafood, making it an ideal place to enjoy the freshest and most delicious seafood.

Klang was once the royal city of Selangor. One of the state's royal palaces is still located here, and some royal ceremonies continue to be held at the Klang Royal Palace. People’s Park, spanning 81 acres and known for its formal gardens, was named Klang’s best park in 2004 and is an absolute must-visit attraction. The city is famous for its local snack, bak kut teh, a herbal soup made with meaty pork ribs. Recently, a new style of "dry bak kut teh" has emerged in Klang—offering a more textured and flavorful experience with a stronger herbal taste than the traditional version, and it’s even hailed as a hangover cure.
