Subang Jaya, also known as "Subang" or "Shoubang," is the second-largest city in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located in the southern part of Petaling, bordering Petaling Jaya to the north, Shah Alam to the northwest, and separated from Klang by Shah Alam to the west. Most of its eastern area borders Kuala Lumpur, while parts of the southeast are adjacent to Ulu Langat and Kajang.

Subang Jaya boasts well-developed higher education institutions and top-tier universities, which have attracted many Chinese students to pursue further studies in the city in recent years. It also hosts a significant number of students from various African countries. The city is equally well-equipped with religious facilities — aside from mosques available in every community, there are also numerous Hindu temples and Chinese Buddhist temples, with a Catholic church located within an industrial zone. Residents and tourists alike have plenty of shopping options, ranging from traditional shops and chain convenience stores to a variety of medium and large shopping malls.
