Kajang

Kajang is a town in the eastern part of Selangor, Malaysia, located just 21 kilometers from the national capital, Kuala Lumpur. It was first settled in 1709 and has seen continuous population growth over the years, gradually developing into a modern town.

In Kajang’s old town area, colonial-era buildings built between 1920 and 1930 can still be seen. These structures blend traditional Chinese and European architectural styles, typically with the ground floor used for commercial purposes and the upper floor for residential living. The town’s landmark, the Kajang Stadium, is situated in the city center, near the well-known Kajang Satay restaurant, which attracts many food enthusiasts. Another iconic building in Kajang is the Kajang Mosque, easily recognizable by its yellow exterior. It becomes particularly lively at night, hosting a variety of Islamic activities.
