Introduction

The name of the World Insect Museum is truly fitting — it is the largest of its kind in all of Asia. Inside the insect museum, you’ll find a collection of insects from around the world, with over four thousand species on display, including butterflies, moths, and other specimens that are sure to broaden your horizons and make the visit worthwhile. Highlights include the world’s largest beetle, the Giant Rhinoceros Beetle (Dynastes Hercules Beetle), which measures up to 16 centimeters in length. There is also a darkroom where you can see over five thousand fireflies dancing in the air — an absolutely breathtaking sight. In the butterfly garden section of the museum, butterflies are undoubtedly the star attraction. With fifty species and two thousand five hundred fluttering butterflies, along with over three thousand species of butterfly specimens on display, it’s almost like an encyclopedia of butterflies.
