Due to Greece’s significant financial issues in recent years, which also affected local business and tourism demand, Singapore Airlines announced in October 2012 that it would suspend its year-round scheduled services between Singapore and Athens.

According to information from Singapore Airlines, between June 9 and October 9, 2014, the airline will reinstate a twice-weekly service between Singapore and Athens every Monday and Thursday to meet the demand during the summer travel peak.

During this period, Singapore Airlines will operate the Singapore–Athens route using the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. The outbound flight from Singapore to Athens is designated as SQ382, departing at 2:05 a.m. and arriving at 8:30 a.m. The inbound flight from Athens to Singapore is designated as SQ381, departing at 1:00 p.m. local time and arriving at 4:55 a.m. the following day.
