The world’s only night-time motorsport event – Singapore F1 Grand Prix invites Mayday to perform!

The annual Singapore F1 Night Race is highly anticipated by racing fans worldwide. The 7th edition of the F1 Night Race will take place from September 19 to 21, bringing together drivers and fans from around the globe to experience the thrill and speed of F1 in Singapore. Organizers held a press conference in Taiwan today and announced that this year’s event will feature a special guest performance – Taiwanese pop sensation Mayday will headline at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix.

Chou Cheng-Hsin, Director-General of the Greater China Regional Office at the Singapore Tourism Board, said the Singapore F1 is the world’s only night-time Grand Prix and the only city street circuit in Asia. During this period, Singapore is filled with an electric and passionate atmosphere, resembling a racing carnival that welcomes visitors from all over the world. Last year, Taiwan saw the fastest growth in tourist arrivals to Singapore, with approximately a 24% increase (350,000 visitors). The board hopes that through F1 promotion, more Taiwanese travelers will come to know and appreciate this one-of-a-kind event.

Ch'en Shih-Yuan, Executive Director of Singapore GP Pte Ltd, the organizer, mentioned that last year the event welcomed over 80,000 visitors daily. For guests, the Marina Bay Street Circuit is conveniently located near hotels and shopping centers, offering great views of the race from the surrounding urban landscape. For drivers, the 5.065-kilometer unique urban track features 23 turns, including bridges and tunnels, making it one of the most challenging circuits. The F1 event includes four major zones: Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. Among them, the Yellow Zone is the largest permanent grandstand, where the cars zoom beneath the stands – providing an adrenaline-pumping experience that is especially popular with Taiwanese fans.

In terms of entertainment, this year’s lineup features Robbie Williams, John Legend, Pet Shop Boys, and Ziggy Marley, along with a special exclusive performance by Mayday, the 15-year-old Taiwanese supergroup, marking their first time headlining at the F1 Singapore event. This adds even more star power and excitement to this year’s Singapore Grand Prix.

The Singapore Grand Prix Season (GPSS) offers a wide range of entertainment, dining, and shopping experiences, transforming Singapore into Asia’s premier F1 city carnival in September. The streets surrounding the circuit, commercial districts, fine-dining restaurants, nightclubs, and shopping malls will all come together starting September 12, turning the entire city into a massive entertainment hub. Racing fans and tourists from around the world can enjoy various discounts and promotions during this period – shop to their heart’s content during the day, dine at Michelin-starred restaurants, enjoy concerts with thousands of other fans at night, or party at famous nightclubs.
