Introduction

The small wooden hut on the left side of the entrance to Changi Prison was a chapel built by British POWs held here during World War II, symbolizing the spirit of maintaining faith and dignity in wartime. The current chapel and museum are enlarged replicas, displaying items, letters, and photographs used by the prisoners, including five murals depicting biblical stories painted by prisoner Stanley Warren.    Food/Stay/Shopping

Souvenirs featuring maps of the Japanese military’s offensive routes during WWII are sold here, and the T-shirts are said to have been printed by inmates who served time in this prison.    Transportation

Getting there: Take the EW line of the MRT to Tanah Merah Station (Station Code: EW4), then transfer to Bus 2 to Changi Chapel Station; or take Bus 1 or 2 from Victoria Street.
