Singapore invested S$18 billion to build the "Marina Bay Sands", which consists of three 55-story hotels that look like the Chinese character "川" (river) from afar. Covering a total area of 20.6 hectares, Marina Bay Sands boasts the world’s tallest sky garden and outdoor swimming pool. This architectural complex was designed by Israeli-Canadian master architect Moshe Safdie. With its innovative and unique design, the construction of this complex took four years due to its complexity. The resort officially opened on June 23, 2010.

Located in Marina Bay, Marina Bay Sands is a large-scale, integrated luxury resort developed in Singapore by the U.S.-based company Las Vegas Sands. Covering a land area of 570,000 square meters and a total built-up area of 700,000 square meters, the resort cost a total of US$5.7 billion. It includes six major facilities: a casino, an opera house, an art and science museum, luxury hotels, a convention center, and banquet halls. The resort also houses flagship stores of luxury brands such as Chanel, Dior, Escada, Fendi, Gucci, Hermès, Miu Miu, Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Stefano Ricci, and Yves Saint Laurent, offering a dazzling array of goods for shoppers to indulge in a delightful retail experience.
