Pulau Hantu, also known as "Ghost Island," is located in the southern part of Singapore and consists of Big Ghost Island and Little Ghost Island, covering an area of 12.6 hectares. It is called Ghost Island because during high tide, seawater submerges the island. In ancient times, people did not understand this phenomenon and thought it was haunted. Another story suggests that many divers once died mysteriously here, and their ghosts are said to have remained on the island, wandering around.

In recent years, Pulau Hantu has developed into a popular tourist destination, loved by visitors. Despite its eerie name, the island offers stunning scenery, including beautiful lagoons, tranquil beaches, clear waters, and its vibrant coral reefs, especially rich in mushroom corals that encircle the entire island. The marine life is also diverse, featuring clownfish, damselfish, small tropical fish, surgeonfish, and flat sharks. Rare species such as giant clams and seahorses can sometimes be spotted. A dense mangrove forest lies between Big Ghost Island and Little Ghost Island, along with some local coastal vegetation.

There are a variety of recreational activities available on Pulau Hantu, making it a hotspot for sports enthusiasts. Fishing, diving, swimming, camping, and hiking are among the popular activities.
