Singapore Indoor Stadium

The Singapore Indoor Stadium is located in Kallang, Singapore. It is a large indoor sports arena that opened in 1989, designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange and officially inaugurated by then Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew.

The Singapore Indoor Stadium has a cone-shaped exterior and a pillar-free interior, with a versatile stage setup that allows for varying audience capacities. It can accommodate between 7,306 and 7,968 spectators for concerts, and between 8,126 and 10,786 for sporting events, with a maximum capacity of around 12,000. The stadium regularly hosts various sporting competitions, such as the Singapore Open Badminton Championships and the ASEAN Basketball League, and has also seen events like WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). The 2009 Asian Youth Games held their opening ceremony here, and the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics featured badminton and table tennis competitions at the venue.

In addition to sports events, the stadium has also become a venue for world-renowned musicians to hold concerts. Its arena is also used for family entertainment activities, with magic shows, circus performances, and ice skating taking place here each season.
