Minputo Beach

Minputo Beach is located in Myeongeum 1-ri, Samsan-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon Metropolitan City, South Korea. It is a long beach on Seimo Island in the West Sea of Ganghwa Island. The beach stretches about 1 kilometer, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the West Sea and the enchanting sea sunset. You can also experience the simple joy of picking up seashells, especially as a tidal flat about 1 kilometer wide appears when the tide recedes. The sand on the tidal flat is very fine, allowing you to clearly observe the seashells and crabs that inhabit the area.

The seawater at Minputo Beach is clean and azure, but the sand is not particularly soft. Although you can walk barefoot on the beach, it is recommended that visitors bring boots or an extra pair of shoes to avoid foot injuries. In addition to watching the sunset, collecting seashells and crabs, visitors can also take a boat to nearby fishing grounds to enjoy sea fishing. You can also visit the nearby Pumun Temple and cliff-carved stone Buddha built during the reign of Queen Seondeok of Silla, adding another layer of enjoyment to your trip.
