In the past, airports were a key place for many people to buy souvenirs when returning home or transiting. However, if you’re visiting Korea, don’t rush to the departure lounge right after shopping. Now you can also make use of your waiting time before departure or transit at Incheon Airport to visit the “Korean Traditional Culture Experience Hall.” In addition to enjoying traditional performances, you can also experience Korean traditional crafts for free.

Currently, there are two “Korean Traditional Culture Experience Halls” located within Incheon Airport—one is near Gate 24 on the east side of the 3rd floor (next to the Fizz and Jazz shop), and the other is at Gate 40 on the west side (opposite the Nescafé café). The staff at the cultural experience halls provide services in Chinese, English, and Japanese, offering all travelers kind and detailed explanations. The daily opening hours are from 07:00 to 22:00.
The “Korean Traditional Culture Experience Hall” offers a variety of course experiences. Each day, there are two hands-on traditional craft activities. Each person may choose one preferred course to experience, and the production time for each is within 30 minutes—so it won’t delay your transit or departure. Through these experience courses, you can not only gain a better understanding of traditional Korean craftsmanship but also take home a handmade craft as a souvenir.

Additionally, those who want to experience static displays of traditional Korean crafts are welcome to visit the “24-hour freely accessible Traditional Craft Exhibition Hall,” located diagonally opposite the “Snack Bar” in the 4th-floor boarding area.
