Incheon Landing War Memorial

The Incheon Landing War Memorial is located at 525 Yuyeondong, Yeonsu District, Incheon Metropolitan City. It is a war memorial that opened in 1984 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Incheon's port opening. The museum primarily honors the historic event during the Korean War when General Douglas MacArthur of the United Nations Command successfully led the Incheon Landing Operation, which turned the tide of the war.

The Incheon Landing War Memorial displays the weapons and equipment used by both the North and South Korean armies during the war, as well as photographs of soldiers' lives. Through these exhibits, visitors can learn about the harsh conditions of wartime and thus appreciate today’s peace. Outside the memorial stands an 18-meter-tall monument and the flags of the 16 countries that participated in the Korean War. Adjacent to the memorial is the Incheon Municipal Museum, where people can learn about Incheon’s history. Additionally, the area is close to the Songdo tourist zone, allowing visitors to easily combine visits to these attractions.
