Han River Citizens' Park

Han River Citizens' Park is located along the Han River that runs through Seoul. Established under the 1980s Han River Comprehensive Development Plan, the park spans a total area of 2.1 million square kilometers and features a variety of sports and leisure facilities. It is a popular gathering spot for citizens to relax.

Han River Citizens' Park consists of 12 areas: Gwangjin Ferry Landing, as well as Jamsil, Dduri, Changwon, Banpo, Eungam, Yeouido, Yanghwa, Wangsimni, Seonyudo, Yeouinaru, and Gangseo districts, each with its own unique characteristics. The sections in Yeouido, Jamsil, and Dduri are especially popular due to the availability of cruise boats, attracting many visitors. Among them, Yeouido and Dduri are the most bustling. Near Yeouido, there are numerous broadcasting stations, and TV dramas are often filmed on the island. Moreover, various bird species in the Gireum Ecological Protection Area can be observed here. The Dduri area, meanwhile, is a famous shopping destination and a hotspot for water sports like surfing, earning its reputation as a paradise for recreational activities.

Transportation

Dduri Area: Take subway Line 7 and get off at Dduri Play Ground Station, then exit through Exit 2 or 3.

Gwangjin Ferry Landing: Take subway Line 5 or 8 and get off at Cheonho Station, then exit through Exit 1 and walk for 20 minutes.

Yeouido Area: Take subway Line 5 and get off at Yeouinaru Station, then exit through Exit 2 or 3.

Yanghwa Area: Take subway Line 2 and get off at Dangsan Station, then exit through Exit 4 and walk for 10 minutes.

Jamsil Area: Take subway Line 2 or 8 and get off at Jamsil Station, then exit through Exit 5 and walk 800 meters. Alternatively, take Line 2 and get off at Seongin Station, then exit through Exit 3 or 4 and walk 900 meters. Or take subway Line 2 and get off at Sinchon Station, then exit through Exit 6 and walk 700 meters.

Changwon Area: Take subway Line 3 and get off at Sinsa Station, then exit through Exit 5 and walk 1 kilometer / Take subway Line 3 and get off at Apgujeong Station, then exit through Exit 1 and walk 800 meters.

Banpo Area: Take subway Line 3 or 7 and get off at Express Bus Terminal Station, then exit through Exit 5 and walk 800 meters. Or take Line 4 and get off at Tongjak Station and walk 1 kilometer.

Eungam Area: Take the national railroad and get off at Eungam Station, then exit through Exit 4 and walk 600 meters south.

Seonyudo Area: Take subway Line 2 and get off at Dangsan Station, then exit through Exit 1 and walk 1.5 kilometers, or take subway Lines 2 or 6 and get off at Hapjeong Station, then exit through Exit 8 and walk 1.5 kilometers. From Exit 8 at Hapjeong Station, take bus 5714 and get off at the main gate of the park.

Yeouinaru Area: Take subway Line 6 and get off at World Cup Stadium Station, then exit through Exit 1 and walk 1.3 kilometers / Take subway Line 6 and get off at Mapo-gu Office Station, then exit through Exit 7 and walk 1.3 kilometers.

Wangsimni Area: Take subway Line 2 or 6 and get off at Hapjeong Station, then exit through Exit 1 and take bus 16 (1.5 km) / Take subway Line 6 and get off at Wangsimni Station, then exit through Exit 1 and take bus 9 (2 km)

Gangseo Area: Take subway Line 5 and get off at Banghwa Station, then exit through Exit 1 or 2 and walk 1.9 kilometers
