Yeonjae Civic Forest is located at 99 Maehyeon-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It was established around the Yeonjae Tollgate in the lead-up to the 1986 Asian Games and the 24th Summer Olympics in 1988. With its beautiful environment and well-equipped facilities, the park has developed over the years into one of Seoul’s most beloved leisure parks.

The Yeonjae Civic Forest Park is home to 94,800 trees of 43 species, including pine, zelkova, maple, horse chestnut, and Korean red pine. The wooded area offers a serene environment, making it a popular spot for couples on dates. These woods have gradually evolved into a rare expanse of lush greenery in the city center. Especially in autumn, visitors can enjoy nature’s bounty as fruits such as persimmons and papayas ripen. In addition, the park features recreational amenities like a lawn plaza, an open-air ceremony venue, volleyball and tennis courts, as well as cultural landmarks including the statue of independence fighter Yun Bong-gil, the Korean Air Memorial Tower, the Sanpoong Accident Memorial Tower, and the White Horse Division Guerrilla Unit Loyal Spirits Tower—ensuring a memorable visit for all.
