Hakuba Village is a resort located in the northwestern part of Nagano Prefecture, in Kitanonashi District, situated on a plateau at an altitude of 700 meters. Backed by the "Northern Alps" National Park, which features mountains stretching continuously at around 3,000 meters above sea level, it has long been known as the "Switzerland of Japan." The village has a long winter season and short spring and summer seasons. In summer, it is ideal for hiking and escaping the heat, while in winter, it serves as a top skiing destination.
