Komagane City

Komagane City is a city in southern Nagano Prefecture, Japan, established in 1954 and situated in the valleys of the central and southern Japanese Alps. The city's economy is primarily driven by tourism, and it is also home to Nagano University of Health and Welfare.

The Silk Museum, located in the eastern part of Komagane City, is a great destination to explore the history of silk development. There is also an idyllic valley known as Hanamomo no Sato (Village of Flowering Peaches), which is primarily dedicated to the cultivation of ornamental flowering peaches. The trees are often covered in blossoms of various colors, including white and pink, creating a vibrant and graceful sight that is truly pleasing to the eye. In addition, Shoutarou Onsen, Kōzenji Temple, Ōmiketsu Shrine, and Akasunomaru Ruins are also worth visiting.
