Covering an area of more than 3,000 pyeong, Yiyuan Grand Courtyard is designed with a three-courtyard layout. Its structure consists of a large compound enclosing smaller three-sided courtyards, with wing rooms on both sides. The building materials include red brick walls, green ceramic windows, and grey stone window frames, all exuding a strong sense of antiquity. The inner courtyard is spacious and laid out in a protruding character shape, where a stone flagpole base from the Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty still remains.
