Changhua’s “Bagua Mountain Skywalk” officially opened on the morning of July 10. The 1,005-meter-long walkway attracted tens of thousands of visitors eager to witness Taiwan’s longest skywalk. The path features seven entrances and exits that connect to attractions such as the Changhua Living Aesthetics Museum, Lotus Pond Ecological Park, National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine, baseball stadium, and Changhua Arts High School, creating a comprehensive scenic area around the Bagua Mountain Giant Buddha.

The “Bagua Mountain Skywalk” is the longest skywalk in Taiwan, with a maximum height of 16 meters and most sections ranging between six to seven meters high. The structure is made of lightweight steel, featuring a railing-style linear design. The route traverses over Guashan Road from above, meandering along the mountain slope starting from the site of the Giant Buddha. The walkway includes seven access points and stretches 1,005 meters — roughly a 15-minute walk — connecting the iconic Bagua Mountain Giant Buddha to the Changhua Living Aesthetics Museum. Along the way, visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Lotus Pond Ecological Park, National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine, baseball stadium, and Changhua Arts High School. With historical sites and cultural elements, the experience not only offers breathtaking views from above but also allows for a leisurely stroll through the forest to explore the beauty of the tree canopy ecosystem.

As for whether there will be an entrance fee for the Bagua Mountain Skywalk, the Changhua City Government has stated that it will remain free at least until the end of the year.
