Jesuit Memorial Square

Jesuit Memorial Square (Larga da Companhia de Jesus) is located in front of the Ruins of St. Paul's in Macau and was built in the latter half of the 19th century. It connects Largo de São Paulo, Rua de São Paulo, and Travessa da Sé. As its name suggests, this square commemorates the Jesuit missionaries who came to Macau and founded the College of St. Paul. Today, the square has become a gathering spot for visitors.

In 1994, the Macau Portuguese government erected the Sino-Portuguese friendship monument "Man and Woman with Dog" on both sides of the square.

The architecture features neoclassical characteristics. From the balcony of the front arcade, one can overlook the entire square.
